maccas update @ 3 july - day 3

Good news for community protestors out on site at McDonalds in Tecoma. The CFMEU have withdrawn their labour from the site in respect of the community protest and due to OHS concerns.

Community members were elated with the news and gave a rousing rendition of Brian Baker's Ballad of Tecoma to celebrate. The community members on site cheered and applauded as workers downed tools and left the site.

I can also confirm that the Asset Protection Permit has been finalised meaning demolition can commence, although there are still four community members on the roof this morning, with Janine celebrating her 50th birthday today.
