it's a pool party and you're invited

Yes, that's right, the redeveloped Monbulk Pool turns one this month and to celebrate we're having a pool party.

Everyone's invited, bring your enthusiasm and your bathers, entry is free and there's activities aplenty after the official ceremony.

Where: Monbulk Aquatic Centre 26 Baynes Park Road, Monbulk

When: 11.00am Sunday 10 August, 2014

Cost: Free

It's been wonderful to see this well loved pool back in full swing with the reopening in August 2013. Come and join the celebration, it will great to see you there.

It was great to be part of a project led by women, not often
seen on major construction projects.

Part of the project included deconstruction of the existing
 25m pool shell which was replaced by the new wet deck.

 

This is how the 25mt pool looked in July 2012.

A happy day for us, filling the new pool back in June
2013, here I am pictured with pool manager at the time,
Helen Hostettler. Helen was instrumental to the project
providing advice and gathering community input.

The new program pool, this pool frees up lanes in
the 25mt pool and provides more water space for a
range of activities including learn to swim programs.
